Paris Saint-Germain might be ready to close the Kylian Mbappé era sooner than many thought they would. The last matchday of the 2023-24 Ligue 1 season was played on Sunday and the Frenchman didn’t travel with the team.

The last meaningful match for PSG will be on May 25th when they face Olympique de Lyonnais in the Coupe de France. While many might assume Mbappé will play this match to win one last trophy with the Parisians, one report says otherwise.

According to L’Equipe, Mbappé might play in the Coupe de France final against Lyon. Yet there’s also speculation that the Toulouse match on May 12th could have been his final game for PSG.

The information adds that PSG manager Luis Enrique hasn’t hidden his frustration with certain players’ attitudes lately, suggesting some are mentally checked out even before the season’s end.

If the French giants want to close this chapter already, it bodes well for Real Madrid. The Spanish side will need PSG’s permission to announce and present the player before his contract expires.

A recent report revealed that Real Madrid are eyeing a window between June 3 and 9, pending approval from PSG, to introduce Mbappé at the Santiago Bernabéu.
