Dallas Stars head coach Pete DeBoer told reporters that forward Roope Hintz is still out day-to-day with an upper-body injury and will not be available for Game 6 tonight vs. Colorado Avalanche.
Hintz last played in Game 4 and left the game after taking an awkward bump from Avalanche defenseman Sean Walker, he logged eight shifts and 6:35 minutes of ice time.

Hintz has tallied two goals and four assists for six points in 11 Stanley Cup Playoff contests, he ranks tied for seventh among Stars’ skaters with rookie Logan Stankoven.
The 27-year-old notched 30 goals and 35 assists for 65 points in 80 games this season. This was Hintz’s third straight 30-goal campaign, he set a career-high of 37 goals in back-to-back seasons.
Hintz is coming off his best season in the NHL, as he had 37 goals, 38 assists and 75 points in 73 games in the 2022-23 season. It’s the second time he’s finished above a point per game in a season, as he also had 43 points in 41 games in 2020-21. He also continued that play into the playoffs, where he had 10 goals, 14 assists and 24 points in 19 games as the Stars were eliminated in the Western Conference Final by the Vegas Golden Knights.
Radek Faksa will remain in the lineup. Faksa has tallied one goal in five Stanley Cup Playoff games thus far.
The Stars lead the series 3-2 with a crucial elimination game set for tonight in Denver.
